New T-Mobile web’n’walk XL service offers unlimited photo and video uploads to the Internet - ideal for using with ShoZu

New tariff welcomed by ShoZu users in Germany

13 Mar 06 - ShoZu, the smartest and most reliable way to share content using mobile phones, welcomes T-Mobile Deutschland’s new unlimited data package. The T-mobile web’n’walk XL service allows unlimited use of 3G and GPRS networks in Germany from mobile phones for a one-off monthly payment of EUR 35, and EUR 1 for each day of use. This allows users to transmit large amounts of data without a time or volume limit, which means for ShoZu users unlimited photo and video uploads.

ShoZu is seeing a high rate of adoption in Germany with users uploading images to sites such as Buzznet, Flickr, Textamerica and Webshots. Whilst the Shozu service has always been free and the cheapest of all alternatives for sharing photos and videos, users still pay their network provider for the cost of transferring data. This new pricing structure from T-Mobile means German users will be able to send as many photos and video clips as they want from their handset to their chosen Internet sharing site, or to email addresses, all for a flat rate fee.

Mark Bole, CEO said, ‘This new tariff is great news for anyone in Germany with a camera phone, especially the loyal army of ShoZu users. As mobile devices develop, more and more people are demanding always-on high-speed data connectivity to access rich media services as well as interacting with their friends and family. This kind of pricing for constant connectivity is excellent news for anyone wanting to upload content freely between mobile devices and the Internet. The German mobile market makes up one of the largest consumer audiences in Europe. It is encouraging that the market’s largest player has stepped forward to offer a flat rate data tariff for its customers.’

The ShoZu service, only launched at the end of last year, is fast gathering recognition as the smartest and most reliable way to share user generated content using mobile cameraphones. ShoZu was officially recognised as a world leader within the global mobile application market by the GSM Association award at this year’s event in Barcelona.
