ShoZu.com expands its mobile service to include Textamerica and Webshots

London, UK, 15 Dec 05 - ShoZu, the mobile image sharing service, announces today the addition of Webshots and Textamerica to its partner eco-system. The new partners are the latest online communities to provide their users with the smartest and most immediate way to share mobile photos and videos via the ShoZu service. ShoZu is available to download, directly to handsets, for free, via the new revamped website, www.ShoZu.com

From the new site, users will be provided with a personal gateway for uploading photos and videos from their cameraphone to Flickr, Textamerica and Webshots.

Mark Bole, CEO, said: ‘We are very excited that the Textamerica and Webshots communities are now able to participate in the ShoZu experience. Never before has it been so easy to share the images created using a mobile phone with friends and family via moblogging and photo sharing sites.’

He added: ‘The initial feedback from Flickr users has been phenomenal. We were predicting that consumers would welcome the freedom and simplicity offered by ShoZu, but the responses we have had so far from our users have exceeded even our own expectations.’

Benefits of ShoZu

  • Upload photos and videos to the web. Once activated, ShoZu gives users the option of uploading new photos and videos to their online sharing site. Images are uploaded quietly and reliably in the background, leaving the user free to do other things.
  • Add descriptions and tags from the phone. Users can also save items to their online sharing site later, from within the ShoZu application. This allows users to take their time to choose which images to upload or add a description or tags to individual images.
  • Share to email addresses from the phone, virtually for free. After a photo or video has been uploaded, it can be shared with one or many contacts via email virtually for free (users only pay for a few hundred bytes of data traffic).
‘Moblogging is a trend which more and more consumers are switching on to. It has never been easier to share spontaneous moments online with like-minded individuals. At Textamerica we’re especially enthusiastic about ShoZu’s ability to upload high quality photos and videos from a camera phone directly to our users’ blogs’.
Chris Hoar, Founder and COO of Textamerica

Easy-navigation

The new ShoZu.com website delivers a user-friendly interface which allows consumers to easily download the ShoZu application to their handsets and to personalize their mobile sharing experience. A full list of supported handsets is available on the site, and is updated on a frequent basis.

‘The concept behind ShoZu revolves around making the user-experience as enjoyable and simple as possible. Our approach makes mobile image sharing both straight forward and immediate.’ said Mark Bole. ‘By increasing our exposure with key brands, we expect that more and more online sharing sites will choose ShoZu to mobilize their communities.’
