We require and store information about you to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:
Critical Path/ShoZu will not sell, rent, share or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties for commercial purposes. This includes any phone contacts or email addresses that we hold in your account.
We may use third parties to perform business support functions on our behalf (such as sending email messages, conducting market research, analyzing data). These third parties may have access to your personal information - to the extent necessary to perform their functions but they will not be permitted to use it for other purposes. In addition, we require any third parties gaining access to your personal information to sign a suitable processor agreement, under which they commit to process your personal information only as directed by Critical Path/ShoZu, and to take all reasonable steps to protect the security of your personal information.
We may also incorporate advertising into our services which may be specifically targeted at you based solely upon your internet use or use of the ShoZu service, but we will not disclose any additional information such as your personal details to those third party advertisers.
If Critical Path/ShoZu enters into a joint venture with or is sold to or merged with another business entity relating to the ShoZu service, we may disclose your personal information to our business partners or owners, either on completion of the relevant transaction, or at the earlier due diligence stage.
We may disclose your personal information to third parties, without notifying you in advance, if required to do so to comply with legal process or requirements, or to protect the rights, property or personal safety of others, including in the interests of fraud detection and prevention and credit risk reduction or abuses of the ShoZu service.
