I want to install ShoZu on my Samsung L760 or G800

Good news! ShoZu is already pre-loaded on your phone. To start using ShoZu, simply follow these steps:

Step 1 - Select a data connection

1. In Idle mode, press OK/Menu and select Settings > Application settings > MobileBlog settings > Connection settings
2. Select your network operator's Internet access point from the list. Be sure to select the Internet access point and not the WAP one.

Step 2 - Activate the ShoZu account

1. Select ShoZu activation from the MobileBlog settings menu
2. Choose On
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to activate the account.

If you receive a 'network unavailable' message during the activation process, you may not have selected the correct access point in step 1. To fix this problem, repeat step 1 and ensure that you have selected the name of your network operator's Internet access point, not their WAP access point.

Step 3 - Set a destination site

1. Select Destinations from the MobileBlog settings menu
2. Press Options and select Create new.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new destination site.

Step 4 - Upload a photo or video

1. Take a new photo or video
2. Click Options then Upload to web.
3. Select an upload destination
4. You can add a title, description or search tags if you wish, then simply click Upload

You can also use the Image Viewer, Media Player or My Files to upload your existing media by clicking Options then Upload from within these locations.

What do I need to do to use ShoZu?

If you have a camera phone and a data plan, you can use ShoZu. To enjoy all of ShoZu's interactive features you will need to download the ShoZu phone application. However, if ShoZu isn't available for download to your phone, you can still use ShoZu to share to your favorite sites from any phone via MMS, picture message, multimedia message, or email.

The ShoZu application is compatible with a whole lot of phones. However not all carriers/ network operators allow phones the access to the entire Internet that ShoZu needs. But what whatever your phone and whatever your operator, you can still upload your photos and videos to your favorite sites via MMS.

Signing-in to the ShoZu.com website

If your using ShoZu via MMS or Picture Messaging and you’ve already sent an MMS, picture message, multimedia message, or email to go@m.shozu.com, then we’ve received the photo or video you’ve sent and have already created an account for you. All you need to do is sign-in.

To sign in for the first time, you need to use the blue box at the bottom left of the sign-in page.

If you sent us a photo or video from your phone using MMS or picture messaging, please use your phone number when signing in. If you sent the photo or video via email, please use your phone’s email address when signing in. 

If you sent us an email from your computer, simply enter the email address for email account you used.

Setting up ShoZu

Click the Get ShoZu button on our website or visit m.shozu.com on your phone's mobile web browser to download ShoZu to your phone. Once downloaded, follow the steps below.

This applies to ShoZu 1.7 and 3.X Smartphone edition only.

New users:

  1. From the menu select Activate
  2. Click No when asked if you have a ShoZu account
  3. Choose any Internet connection apart from MMS (if asked)
  4. Please wait while we sign you up (less than 1 minute)
  5. And now go right and add your favorite sites!

Existing users:

  1. From the menu select Activate
  2. Click Yes when asked if you have a ShoZu account
  3. Enter your ShoZu username and password (password is case sensitive)
  4. Click OK
  5. Choose any Internet connection apart from MMS (if asked)
  6. Please wait while we sign you in (less than 1 minute)

Connection problems?
Please try a different Internet or WiFi access point during activation.

This applies to ShoZu 4.0 Smartphone edition only.

New users:

  1. Start adding a Site or Email address
  2. Click Continue when asked to Activate
  3. Choose any Internet connection apart from MMS (if asked)
  4. Please wait while we sign you up (less than 1 minute)
  5. And now go right and add your favorite sites!

Existing users:

  1. From the menu choose Sign-in to account
  2. Enter your ShoZu username and password (password is case sensitive)
  3. Click OK
  4. Choose any Internet connection apart from MMS (if asked)
  5. Please wait while we sign you in (less than 1 minute)

Connection problems?
Please try a different Internet or WiFi access point during activation.

This applies to ShoZu Java edition only.

New users:

  1. Click Sign up on the welcome screen
  2. Click Yes to allow Internet access
  3. Please wait while we sign you up (less than 1 minute)
  4. And now go right and add your favorite sites!

Existing users:

  1. From the menu click Login
  2. Enter your ShoZu username and password (password is case sensitive)
  3. From the menu click OK
  4. Click Yes to allow Internet access
  5. Please wait while we sign you in (less than 1 minute)
This applies to ShoZu Java edition for BlackBerry phones only.

New users:

  1. Click Continue on the welcome screen
  2. Please wait while we create a new account for you (less than 1 minute)
  3. And now go right and add your favorite sites!

Existing users:

  1. From the menu click Existing user sign-in
  2. Enter your ShoZu username and password (password is case sensitive)
  3. From the menu click OK

Please wait while we sign you in (this usually takes less than 1 minute)

This applies to ShoZu Apple iPhones only.

New users:

  1. Click on Sign Up
  2. Please wait while we create a ShoZu account for you (less than 1 minute)
  3. And now go right and add your favorite sites!

Existing users:

  1. Click Login
  2. Enter your ShoZu username and password (password is case sensitive)
  3. Please wait while we sign you in (less than 1 minute)

Connection problems?
Please ensure your phone as a data or WiFi Internet connection.

Give ShoZu access to your files

This applies to ShoZu Java edition for Sony Ericsson phones only.

To allow ShoZu to see your files and avoid being constantly prompted for permissions:

  1. Exit ShoZu
  2. Find ShoZu (usually in Applications or Games folder)
  3. Highlight ShoZu
  4. Click More or Options
  5. Select Permissions
  6. Select Read user data, set to Never ask
  7. Select Write user data, set to Never ask
  8. Select Internet access, set to Never ask
  9. Press the Back button and reopen ShoZu

Done, ShoZu can now see your photos and videos. If you get stuck at any stage, just open ShoZu for info on your next step.

This applies to ShoZu Java edition for Nokia phones only.

To allow ShoZu to see your files and avoid being constantly prompted for permissions:

  1. Exit ShoZu
  2. Find ShoZu (usually in Applications, Games or Collection folder)
  3. Highlight ShoZu
  4. Click Options > Application Access > Communication
  5. Select Network Access, set to Always Allowed
  6. Click Application Access > Phone/Data Access
  7. Select Read user data, set to Always allowed
  8. Click Application Access > Phone/Data Access
  9. Select Add and edit data, set to Always allowed

Done, ShoZu can now see your photos and videos. If you get stuck at any stage, just open ShoZu for info on your next step.
